About us

Our Music School

Regular classes in Indian classical music, an examination centre, and a living community of students in India and Europe.

Swarasadhana Vidyalaya — our music school

Swarasadhana Vidyalaya is our school of Indian classical music — a place where the Paluskar tradition lives in daily practice. The school offers regular classes in Hindustani vocal music, serves as an examination centre for formal music degrees, and nurtures a community through events such as Maasik Sangeet (monthly music gatherings) and Mukta Sangeet Sauvad (open music dialogues).

How we teach

Every student follows the same disciplined staircase, refined over three decades of teaching:

  1. Basic Vocal Technique Training — compulsory for everyone: breath, posture, resonance, steadiness of tone.
  2. Indian vocal fundamentals — the ability to hear a pitch and sing it accurately.
  3. Use of voice in Hindustani classical and semi-classical music.
  4. Hindustani Raag Sangeet in five graded parts.
  5. Dhrupad, Khayal and light music — the full flowering of the trained voice.

Where we teach

Classes run in person in Pune, India, and online for students across Europe — especially in Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden and Austria, where our regular concerts and workshops take place. One-on-one voice development sessions are available for serious aspirants.
